The Struggle is Real
College, work and life can be sometimes difficult to balance. I lasted for 2 months before I finally had to reduce my hours at work. For me I value education over work so it was easy to create my totem pole of priorities. I am lucky to have someone at home to help me with my daughter and everything else, such has homework, house chores and bills. This made it possible for me to keep my education at the top of the totem pole. I changed my work schedule to working only on the weekends, this way I can better focus on my assignments. Although my daughter is easy going, she still needs lots of attention. Before I reduced my work schedule I was too exhausted to do much other than homework. For people who are going to college, working and raising a family, without the right help it could be very difficult to maintain. The main thing that helped me is being able to cut back at work and not have to worry about bills. Not everyone can do that and my heart goes out to those who cannot.
